#HARVEST MOON MOD FOR STARDEW VALLEY 1.3.28 FULL#
I played one save as a low-effort min-max playthrough in SDV, and I had most of the skills at 10 (was missing combat for sure), full gold tools, done with the basic mine, big coop, stable etc, before Fall of year 1. Basically, the stuff that keeps you playing after the first few years. 50 yr marriage, getting the extra houses, the every-few years type events (forget the festival, but you go sit on the mountain and look at the stars, then you can sell all your produce for triple value the next day, or something similar to that). I'm fine without the Harvest Sprite games.
This is really petty, but I miss playing Frisbee w/ the dog, haha. Making food just for energy was useful, whereas I feel I only cook stuff in SDV for the buffs. Talk about spoiled, the emulator I was playing FOMT on let me save like 10 files, even screen-by-screen.Ĭomplexity of Cooking: you had to buy utensils to outfit your kitchen, recipes were more complex, etc. Being able to bust out all your watering/animal work, saving, then being able to restart from that point if you make a serious mistake later in the day/forget something. I don't have many things I just flatly like better in FOMT, but here's my short list of stuff I miss while playing SDV: I haven't found much desire to go back, loaded it up maybe twice since Stardew came out, and didn't put more than another day or two into it. The controls are limiting at times, and Stardew Valley improves on a lot of its shortcomings.īig fan of both games, was actually playing FOMT on an emulator when SDV came out. Overall, they're both very good games, but I don't think FOMT aged too well in comparison. I also like being able to make things without a recipe in the first place. Having to get different tools for each dish is fun and adds more complexity to recipes.
For one, I much prefer the cooking system in it.

In FOMT, you do need to get things to build buildings and upgrade tools, but it isn't nearly as robust as in Stardew Valley.įOMT does do some things better than Stardew Valley, though. Having to look for certain items to craft with is really enjoyable and adds a great short-term goal to drive you forward. It also made me appreciate how much the crafting system adds to the genre. I missed being able to quickly ship items, or being able to scroll through a hot bar. The game felt hard to handle after playing Stardew Valley. FOMT is my favorite Harvest Moon game, and I started a new playthrough recently before the beta for 1.1 came out.
